Off The Wheel
Black Americans are leaving the U.S. for Africa ...
Should you?
We provide useful information to our membership community of Black Americans looking to get off the wheel and who are planning to move to a country of their choice in Africa and also for those who have already landed
For members that have no plans on moving to Africa, but still want to invest in real estate and/or local companies, we provide on-the-ground intel and related services
There is a seismic shift under way for Black Americans across the land that had been happening in silos. Only now are these signs beginning to surface as more people start comparing notes.
And that is the idea of Black Americans considering moving from the U.S. to Africa.
Recently, there has been increased interest in moving to Ghana in particular as result of their Year Of Return campaign. But other reasons are beginning to multiply as other countries are now being considered.
The purpose of this site is twofold.
Number one, it's to share the journey of how we, a couple from New York City, at the top of our careers, landed in the headspace we did to even begin to consider such a thought.
Here, we will cover a variety of topic areas that should be thoroughly examined to determine if such a move is feasible for you.
We will explore the mental transition travelled as well as the economic sustainability of such a plan given financial constraints, budget and desired lifestyle.
We then delve into the actual move; making the "adjustments", preparing yourself to being open to change, being ready for how a different culture will be in conflict with some things you have come to expect, love or prefer.
The second purpose of this site is to create a community of like-minded, value-aligned individuals to want to get off of the wheel and come to Africa and contribute in a positive and purposeful way.
